According to health experts, a cold bath is particularly useful at the first signs of a cold and alleviates symptoms. Essential oils from the forest, such as those used in the signature treatments in the spa area at ADLER Lodge RITTEN, are suitable additives. โธADLER Lodge RITTEN

Make your own oil mixture for a herbal cold bath
If you have a nice dark glass bottle, you can also prepare a wonderful cold bath as a DIY gift. You will need several essential oils for this.
Ingredients:
- 500 ml carrier oil (e.g. olive oil, almond oil, jojoba oil)
- 20 ml eucalyptus oil
- 20 ml mountain pine oil
- 10 ml ginger oil
Preparation:
- Pour the oils into the dark glass bottle and shake the mixture.
- Store in a cool, dark place
- For the bath, add a cup of the oil to the bath water.
- It is best to take a cold bath just before going to bed for about 20 minutes.
Caution: If the cold is already well advanced, and you have a fever and a severe cough, doctors advise against taking a bath.
