A vegetable is left over or a bowl needs to be covered briefly. In such cases, people often resort to cling film or aluminum foil.
Unfortunately, this causes a lot of waste.
So another solution is needed. The simplest alternative is often to put it in a can. But especially if it is to be put in the refrigerator afterwards, space gets tight so quickly.
We have discovered beeswax paper for us. We got the wax from an acquaintance who has his own beehives.
The advantage: beeswax is antibacterial and the paper is reusable. You can simply wipe them down after you used them. And the wax also keeps the cloths nice and in shape on a bowl.
For people who don’t feel like doing the DIY, there is also ready-made paper to buy. And for vegans who don’t want to use beeswax: You can also use vegetable wax – or buy the equivalent ready-made.
Bonus tip: Especially before the delicious Christmas dinner, waxpaper is a good investment.
