The Greens to Green Conservancy will be the largest privately-owned conservation easement in lower Westchester (south of I-287) once it is approved by the White Plains Common Council.
A conservation easement is a legally binding promise to protect the land forever. No real estate development, no commercial or industrial use. Even if the land is sold. The majority of easements in Westchester allow no public access. Greens to Green will be open for the community’s enjoyment.
At 84 acres, Greens to Green will be the largest conservation easement in all of lower Westchester, and the very first in the City of White Plains. It will increase the total acreage under easement by 60% in lower Westchester. Take a look at the other conservation easements in lower Westchester. There are 18 of them.
